Unleashing the Magic: Addressing Concerns About Christmas Mini-Sessions

Tips for Sessions

Santa smiles at a little girl at her Christmas mini-session at Prospect Farms in lawrenceville

This Christmas in July, ’tis the season for creating memories that will warm your heart for years to come! As a family photographer, I understand that booking a Christmas mini-session can raise some concerns for busy moms like you. But don’t stress! In this blog post, I have some suggestions for 4 top concerns that might keep you from booking that Christmas mini-session.

Christmas Concern 1: Do we have enough time?

I know how crazy things can get during the holidays, with parties, shopping, planning, and end-of-semester obligations. I design my Christmas minis to be as quick and easy as possible to fit your busy schedule! In just 10-minutes, we’ll capture beautiful moments without taking up too much of your day. We can fill up a full gallery in a quick 10-minute session.

In 2023, I have 6 dates of Christmas mini-sessions and 4 dates of family Christmas minis so that you can find a date that works for your busy schedule.

Concern 2: Will my child cooperate?

This is one of the biggest concerns I hear moms share when they book their sessions, especially when they have kids ages 4 and under. Don’t stress! As a former elementary school teacher plus mama of two busy little girls, nothing phases me! The sessions with Santa are designed to be interactive and be magical, so your little one isn’t expected to sit and smile the whole time. For family sessions, we will have time for silliness and cuddles so that your little one can showcase their sweet personalities.

Afraid your little one will be scared of Santa? I’m not in a habit of traumatizing children! If they just won’t have it, we can still get plenty of sweet photos with your little one sitting on your lap or posing with Santa in the background. I have tons of tricks that will help your little one feel comfortable around the Big Guy.

Concern 3: Can we afford a photo session?

I understand that the holidays can be some of the most expensive weeks of the year, which is why I design my mini-sessions to be as affordable as possible! With 10-minute mini-sessions, the location fees are lower per session, so you can still enjoy the beautiful venues without paying a premium price of a longer session.

When you book a mini-session, you make 50% of the payment at the time of booking, and you won’t owe the remaining balance until the date of the session. This way, you never have to make any large payments at one time.

Concern 4: What if it’s rainy or too cold?

Most of my Christmas mini-sessions are indoors, so you don’t have to stress about if the weather will be a Grinch during your session. If you choose to book an outdoor mini-session, I always communicate well before the session to let you know if we will be able to move forward with our plans. If needed, we always have a reschedule date on the back burner so that we can still get your perfect Christmas Card photo no matter what.

Remember, my goal is to create a relaxed and joyful experience for you and your loved ones. So, don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly with any remaining concerns or questions.

Let’s unleash the magic together and capture memories that will bring smiles to your faces for years to come! You can find my booking link to all of my upcoming mini-sessions here to find the perfect one for you! Cheers to capturing memories that make the holiday season extra special!
